Perth Observatory | Lunar Photography Workshop
Enjoy a special evening of lunar photography under the stars at Perth Observatory. This is a great opportunity to capture stunning images of the Moon using your own camera and some of the best telescopes in the region. Your expert guide, Roger Groom from Astro Photography Australia, will lead a one-hour theory session on the process of photographing the Moon, from equipment and software to image processing.
With a maximum group size of 20 people, you’ll have plenty of time to experiment and capture your own unique images of the Moon. The Observatory has a wide range of focal lengths and types of telescopes available, so you can take photographs that feature the full disk or at much higher magnification. You are encouraged to bring your own camera T-ring adaptor and Barlow lenses if you have them, as using the equipment you already have helps you become more familiar with it.
