Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar centers on the assassination of the Roman dictator, Julius Caesar, and the political turmoil that follows. The play dramatizes the events leading up to Caesar’s death, the conspiracy hatched by his friends, and the subsequent civil war that erupts between the conspirators and those loyal to Caesar.
