Zig Zag Gallery | Home in a Leftover Universe

Poems amongst paintings, thoughts amongst tapestries, doodles amongst drawings, sketches amongst sculptures. Together they display Diana van der Harst’s ever evolving Leftover Universe, where you see finished works as well as hints of the process. Those raw hints, those leftovers, show a bigger picture and bring honesty and depth to an otherwise clean and so called perfect end result.

Looking at this bigger picture you come to see that every end result is a beginning of something new. That all elements are leftovers of a stream of thoughts, a stream of images. In a perfect universe you do not disregard the leftovers, they are part of the story, they belong.
