If your idea of a good day out involves great coffee, fresh local produce, and a dinner worth booking ahead for, Armadale is worth the drive. The region has a quietly impressive food scene – from orchard-fresh breakfasts to award-winning restaurants with sweeping valley views. Here’s a full day to savour.
Morning
Start at Orchard Espresso for breakfast. This is a well-loved local spot and for good reason – the apple crumble pancakes are a standout and the coffee hits the mark. Arrive early on weekends, it gets busy.
Once you’re fuelled up, head to Raeburn Orchards for a morning wander. Walking among the trees and seeing where the produce actually comes from is a good way to start the day. Stock up at the packing shed before you head off fresh fruit, seasonal goodies, and plenty of things you won’t find at the supermarket.

Lunch
Think pink for lunch! Pink Cafe in Kelmscott serves up delicious bites in the sweetest setting. The menu is fresh and flavourful, the space is welcoming, and it’s a great spot to settle in for a proper mid-morning break. The Pink Cafe is also pup friendly (winning!).

Afternoon
Head up into the hills to Roleystone and find Cozi Book Cafe for an afternoon coffee. Tucked away and full of character, it’s the kind of place you stumble into and end up staying longer than planned. Great coffee, good books, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes the afternoon slow down in the best way. A hidden gem well worth seeking out.

Dinner
Seven Sins Perth Hills is the pick for dinner. This is one of Armadale’s most celebrated restaurants- award-winning food, a well-considered wine list, and views across the valley that make the whole experience feel like an occasion. The menu changes with the seasons and the kitchen takes local produce seriously.
Book ahead. This one fills up, and you don’t want to miss out.
