MUNDARING
In exciting news, newly opened at Lake Leschenaultia is The Flackseed! Perfect for grabbing kiosk favourites like great coffee, hot chips, ice-cream, snacks, and cold drinks, created with fresh local produce and the incredible flavours of Australian native foods and botanicals.
GIDGEGANNUP
The Wooroloo Bushfire Art Trail is bringing vibrant public art installations to Gidge. An inspiring art trail will be launched with new works at Percy Cullen Oval and Gidgegannup Showgrounds. Whether you’re passing through or stopping to enjoy the art, these installations will bring a little culture to Gidgegannup. Keep an eye out as these exciting new artworks start to take shape!
SERPENTINE-JARRAHDALE
Brand new in Byford, Kiln Ale House is a family-owned bar and restaurant with 22 rotating craft beers on tap, plus a tempting cocktail and wine list. Named for the historic Byford State Brickworks, a menu features share plates, burgers, hearty mains and pizza with a few interesting additions – crocodile tail tacos anyone?! Drop by after exploring SJ for lunch, dinner or a cheeky drink.
ARMADALE
Six Seasons Trails is a new tourism experience matching six of the Armadale region’s best nature trails with the Noongar seasons. Everyone is invited to return to the region each season to walk a new trail in a new location. Partnering with local tour operators, The Hike Collective and Beelya Cultural Tours, giving hike enthusiasts two different ways to experience these trails.
KALAMUNDA
There’s a new pet-friendly accommodation in the foothills – found close to the end of the Zig Zag scenic drive, Banksia Tourist Park has opened six two-bedroom cabins (one wheelchair accessible) that are perfect for families or small groups, these cabins offer modern comfort in the serene Perth Hills bushland setting.
