Winter

Winter is a perfect time of year to visit the Perth Hills. The waterfalls and creeks are flowing, and some winter wildflowers are starting to appear. The bush is rejuvenated after winter rain. Pubs, cafes, and restaurants have cranked up their fireplaces and woodburning heaters, and winter warmers are on the menu. So why not grab your warmest coat, beanie, and gloves, and head up the hill for some refreshing outdoor time, a delicious meal in a picturesque venue, or even to enjoy a visit to a market, a historic attraction, or just to take in a magnificent view. The Perth Hills – lovely all year round, but a little bit special in winter.

The Perth Hills Tourism Alliance (PHTA) acknowledge the Noongar people of the “boodja”, the land on which we stand, work and play.

We acknowledge the Aboriginal people as the First Nation People and their connection to the lands and the waters, as they are part of them spiritually and culturally.

We acknowledge their ancestors, the Elders past and present, who have led the way for us to follow in their footsteps and the emerging leaders of today and tomorrow.
