Take a Peek into Mundaring Hills Open Studios this October

When you think of the Mundaring region of the Perth Hills, images of pristine bushland, Mundaring Weir, the lovely Lake Leschenaultia, and oodles of nature come to mind. It’s no surprise that all that beauty is inspiration for a vibrant local arts community. The Mundaring Hills Open Studios event is happening from 19 to 27 October. This beloved annual event invites you to step inside the private studios of local artists, who are throwing open their doors and offering a unique opportunity to connect with the creative minds behind the artwork.

This year’s event is its biggest yet, with a whopping 75 artists involved. There’s painters, sculptors, jewellers, photographers and other talented artisans to meet.

Each studio provides an intimate glimpse into their creative processes, allowing you to see firsthand how their ideas evolve into stunning pieces of art, often inspired by the Perth Hills. Stacy Gardoll is a wonderful example of this, with her oil paintings of beautiful West Australian botanicals. You may be familiar with Perth Hills artist Tayla Beynon’s (aka Merakai Boho) epic murals. During Mundaring Hills Open Studios why not take a look inside her studio?
