The Mundaring District Museum is co-located with the Perth Hills Mundaring Visitor Centre in The Old School Building. A permanent display about people, places, and events of historical interest in the Shire are on display.
The permanent exhibition space in the foyer traces the story of the school itself, and of the students who passed through its doors. The story of the fight to save the School House from demolition in the early 1990s is also outlined in the foyer.

The Perth Hills Tourism Alliance (PHTA) acknowledge the Noongar people of the “boodja”, the land on which we stand, work and play. We acknowledge the Aboriginal people as the First Nation People and their connection to the lands and the waters, as they are part of them spiritually and culturally. We acknowledge their ancestors, the Elders past and present, who have led the way for us to follow in their footsteps and the emerging leaders of today and tomorrow.
