To become a partner, you’ll need to complete our online application form. We’ve designed the process to be as simple and straightforward as possible. Before you get started, taking a few minutes to prepare your content will make completing the application quick and easy.
This guide will help you prepare everything you need to create an engaging listing that brings your business and visitor experience to life.
Preparing your content
Your business description
Your business description introduces your business to visitors and may be used on your business page, in search results and in promotional content across the Experience Perth Hills website.
Checklist
- Maximum 100 words
- Written in third person (avoid “we”, “our” and “us”)
- Highlights what makes your business unique
- Describes the experience visitors can expect
- Reflects the character and appeal of the Perth Hills
- Includes relevant SEO keywords* that visitors may use when searching online
What is SEO?
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) helps people find your business through search engines such as Google. Including keywords that visitors are likely to search for can improve your visibility online.
Examples of keywords: accommodation, winery, café, brewery, hiking trails, local produce, family-friendly attraction, wedding venue, or nature experience.

Nestled in the heart of the Perth Hills, Example Farm Stay offers visitors a relaxing countryside escape surrounded by native bushland and scenic landscapes. Your Images
Images play an important role in inspiring visitors to explore the Perth Hills and discover your business.
Please provide up to five images that showcase your business and visitor experience.
Checklist
- Landscape orientation
- Minimum 900 x 700 pixels
- JPG or PNG format
- No text, logos, or promotional messaging on images
- Natural colours and lighting

Please avoid generic images, heavily edited photos and overly posed photography. Images should create a sense of place and help visitors imagine themselves enjoying the experience.
Primary Image
Please nominate one image as your Primary Image.
Your Primary Image will be used as the main image for your listing and may also appear in search results, promotional content and other areas across the Experience Perth Hills website. The remaining images will appear in your photo gallery.
When submitting your images, please clearly indicate which image you would like used as your Primary Image.

Before submitting your application:
- All images are owned by your business, or you have permission to provide them for promotional use by Experience Perth Hills and its partner local governments.
- Your business description accurately reflects your business and visitor experience.
- Your images meet the requirements outlined above.

The approval process
1. Location & Eligibility Check
We’ll confirm that your business is located within the Perth Hills’ boundary of one of our five partner LGAs.
Please note that Foothills locations are not eligible for the Experience Perth Hills website.
2. Content & Quality Review
We’ll review your business description and images against our Content Guidelines to ensure your listing represents your business and the Perth Hills visitor experience.
3. Published & Live
We aim to review all complete submissions within 10 business days.
A Perth Hills Tourism Alliance representative will be in touch if anything needs adjusting or if we require additional information.
Once approved, your listing will go live on the Experience Perth Hills website, adding to the diverse range of experiences visitors can discover and enjoy across the Perth Hills.
4. Keep Your Listing Up to Date
Help visitors make informed plans by keeping your listing current.
If your offering, business details or imagery change, please email us with your updated information.
Note: Significant changes, such as a new category or location, will go through a shortened review process before being updated on the website.
Cross-promotion guidelines
When tagging or mentioning the Alliance in your content, please use @ExperiencePerthHills on Instagram and Facebook, or tag our
LinkedIn page.
You can also use the hashtag #ExperiencePerthHills to help us find and reshare your content.
When submitting your listing, please include your Instagram, Facebook and/or LinkedIn handles so we can tag you when crosspromoting.
