The Prickly Moses Trail is just over 1km of bush trail through Lloyd Hughes Park in Kelmscott, which winds its way up the hill affording views out over the Swan Coastal Plain. The trail passes through stands of wandoo, marri and the vibrant Prickly Moses wattle.

Follow the Prickly Moses Trail along a steep section of the Darling Scarp. The park, covering some 17.7 hectares, adjoins the southern section of the Banyowla Regional Park.

Information on the trail and the park can be found on signage at the Trailhead on Martin Street near the corner of Marmion Street, with parking available along the verge of Marmion Street. Scan the QR Code on the sign for a map of the two trails within the park. Walk the trail in a clockwise direction to help reduce the spread of Phytophthora Dieback by using the bootcleaning stations provided along the trail.

Lloyd Hughes Park is popular for wildflower spotting through the winter and spring months, July to November. The park is also popular for birdwatching and offers views out over the Swan Coastal Plain from upper sections of the trail. The park has previously been mined for shale with remnants still visible along the trail.
