GIDGEGANNUP

One of the Perth Hills most loved country events is back this month, with the Small Farm Field Day bringing a hands-on day to Gidgegannup Showgrounds. On May 24, expect everything from livestock displays and machinery demos to artisan stalls, local produce and plenty of live entertainment. MUNDARING

Camping in the cooler months just got even more tempting at Lake Leschenaultia, with low-season pricing kicking in from May 1. The 2026 Bickley Harvest Festival returns with a fresh line-up of events to tempt food and wine lovers on May 2 and 3. Among the highlights this year: a BBQ experience with Hogg Culture Brewing Co., pop-up wine and woodfired pizza at Brookside Vineyard, plus a sneak peek of the soon-to-be-opened Chalet Rigi. There’s even more to lace up your boots for in Serpentine-Jarrahdale. Three new horse trails have opened up fresh ways to explore the region’s bushland. Off The Beaten Track WA is also launching ‘Awaken – Jarrahdale Trails Day’ guided hikes along these dual-use trails on June 1, for just $20pp. Designed to reconnect walkers with nature in some of the area’s prettiest pockets.
